Supermarket Store Director

Nordvik Group is opening convenience-format supermarkets in Astana. We are looking for a director of a 1,400 m² store with a team of 60+ people. Location: Astana, Esil and Almaty districts. Five-day week, full time, on the sales floor. Responsibilities: deliver the turnover and margin plan; manage the team (shifts, rosters, mentoring supervisors); control stock, write-offs and shrinkage; keep planograms and merchandising standards; handle sanitary and fire inspections; resolve customer complaints. Requirements: 3+ years running a supermarket/hypermarket store or as deputy director; understanding of store P&L and shrinkage management; experience with 1C:Retail or a similar ERP; knowledge of food retail regulations (shelf life, product adjacency, labelling); Kazakh and Russian. Nice to have: greenfield store opening experience, video analytics and self-checkout queue management, a management degree.
